Led by Médecins du Monde, the European Observatory project is aimed at improving access to adequate healthcare for vulnerable mobile EU citizens. It focuses on advocacy activities at national and EU level, based on ongoing data collection efforts in 5 EU countries (Sweden, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, and France). Observations and recommendations will be addressed in a European Observatory Report and shared with policy-makers using different tools, including the European Semester cycle.

Moreover, key findings from the European Observatory project will feed into the Civic Observatory on the Rights of EU Citizens (CORE), which MdM is running together with FEANTSA and the European Citizen Action Service. The aim of CORE is to monitor legal and political developments in different areas relating to EU citizenship, and to support joint cross-sectoral initiatives and advocacy action.
