New ATD grant awarded to JRS Belgium

EPIM has recently awarded a project grant to JRS Belgium in order to implement an ATD (Alternative to Detention) pilot project, called `Plan Together – Towards Durable Migration Solutions´, in Belgium. JRS Belgium is a member of the European ATD Network and will contribute to regional advocacy efforts on immigration detention and ATD. At national level, JRS Belgium will work with CSO partners in order to provide case management to persons at risk of immigration detention, collect evidence on the feasibility and effectiveness of engagement-based ATD, and advocate for the reduction of immigration detention and the mainstreaming of ATD in the national migration system. The project will start in July 2020 and have a minimum duration of two years.
