Strategic learning and evaluation

Grantees workshop - September 2008

A specific evaluation plan has been designed for the EPIM programme. Evaluation combines internal and external methodology. An external team of experts works in conjunction with the EPIM Programme Manager and the Evaluation Committee.

Evaluation is both formative, focusing on a mutual real time strategic learning process, and summative. It is conducted at three levels: the grantees level, the partnership level, and the overall impact of the programme. Each project is self-evaluated through a regular progress report.

In 2010, two fact sheets (fact sheet 1 and fact sheet 2) were produced on lessons learned and the challenges ahead, based on EPIM’s external evaluations. For more information on these please refer to the Annual Report of 2009 and 2010, and the EPIM 2008-2011 Log Frame.
