PICUM’s pragmatic and rights-based approach has enabled ground-breaking levels of credibility and recognition regarding the fundamental rights of undocumented migrants in Europe. At this opportune moment, PICUM’s EPIM project seeks to lead its expanded membership and strategic partners to transform these gains into improved realities at EU and national level.
Project activities include:
- a high-impact advocacy strategy targeting the EU policy agenda;
- capacity-building to enable front line organisations to advance informed, innovative and sustainable solutions at national, European and international level;
- developing and maintaining strategic alliances and partnerships to engage political, institutional, professional and social targets;
- influencing legislative changes and disseminating strategic messages to EU-wide audiences.
This project will strengthen the effectiveness and coordination of frontline organisations to respond to the urgent human rights issues facing irregular migrants by facilitating their reach and engagement with the EU policy level.
