EPIM 2012-2015 constitutes the third phase of the European Programme for Integration and Migration, whereby 10 grants amounting to 2,200,000 EUR have been awarded to the following NGO-led projects.

Project 1: European advocacy project to improve access to health care for undocumented migrants in Europe

Duration: 3 years, from 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2015

Project 2: From awareness to commitment: advancing political, institutional and societal responses to the protection of undocumented migrants in Europe
Led by: PICUM – Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants

PICUM’s pragmatic and rights-based approach has enabled ground-breaking levels of credibility and recognition regarding the fundamental rights of undocumented migrants in Europe. Project 3: AIDA – Asylum Information Database
Led by: ECRE – European Council of Refugees and Exiles
Duration: 3 years, from 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2015
Project partners: Forum Réfugiés, Hungarian Helsinki Committee, Irish Refugee Council
The deadline set for the establishment of the Common European Asylum System is 2012. With the adoption of recast EU asylum instruments, a “second phase” of transposition of the EU asylum acquis will start. Project 4: A Face to the Story: the issue of unreturnable persons in detention
Led by: Flemish Refugee Action (Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen)
Duration: 18 months, from 1 September 2012 to 28 February 2014

Project 5: Access to Protection: a human right

The overall objective of the Access to Protection: a human right project is to bring national and EU policies and practices in line with the obligations set out by the European instruments on Human Rights and in particular by the Strasbourg Court in the Hirsi case, as far as the access to the territory and to protection is concerned. Project 6: For Undocumented Migrants’ Rights in Central Europe

The For Undocumented Migrants’ Rights in Central Europe project focuses on monitoring the implementation and enforcement of provisions contained in the so-called Employers Sanctions Directive in five countries of Central Europe: Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary. Read more…
Project 7: Early Legal Advice for protection applicants

Project 8: Moving Beyond Borders – Protect undocumented migrants on either side of the European borders

The Invisible EU Migrants: Towards a European Policy Response project aims to broaden the policy response of the European institutions, when dealing with the problems of EU citizens who exercise their free movement rights in other Member States, to focus on particularly vulnerable and marginalised migrants.
